MOCK APPLE PIE
Have a couple of apples on the counter as you fix this pie
1-1/2 cup s granuladed sugar
2 cups water
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
2 tablespoons of butter
22 saltine crackers
1 "no fail" pie crust
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, cream of tartar and
butter. Bring to a boil. Add 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon to the mixture and continue to
boil for about 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
Cruss the saltine crackers and put in the pie crusst. Pour mixture from saucepan into a 9" unbaked pie crust and sprinkle tshe top with cinnamon. Bake for 40 minutes or until done.

"No Fail" Pie Crust
1-1/2 cups flour
1-1/2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup vegetalbe oil
1/2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons milk
Mix in pie plate and press out. This makes a generous 9" crust.
